Employee Resources

We are committed to supporting our team members by providing access to services and programs to help with work life balance.

Employee Transportation Shuttle (PA)

Every employee is responsible for getting to and from work and meeting expected work timeframes. To assist employees who use public transportation to the Huntingdon Valley locations (Holy Redeemer Hospital, Redeemer Health corporate offices, St. Joseph Manor, 821 Huntingdon Pike, and the Transformation Center) we offer a shuttle which provides transportation assistance for employees from various Philadelphia locations who work when transportation assistance is limited or not available - early morning, late at night, or in inclement weather condition.

There is no cost to employees to ride the shuttle. Employees must wear their Redeemer Health employee identification badge to board the shuttle.

For more information about the Employee Transportation Shuttle schedule or services, contact your Human Resources representative.

Our Heritage and Foundational Resources

Catholic social teaching is a tradition composed of documents of the Catholic Church on social, political, economic and environmental issues concerned with protecting the dignity and well-being of all persons; promoting just relations within societies; and informing ethical choices that serve in the preservation of the natural world.  The critical characteristics of Catholic social teaching include belief in the inherent dignity of the human person, who is both sacred and social.  Belief in individual dignity and in community form the foundation of all Catholic social teaching.

Ethical and Religious Directives:
"Catholic health care ministry is rooted in a commitment to promote and defend human dignity; this is the foundation of its concern to respect the sacredness of every human life" (The Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services - Part 1)

Flowing from that, as a Catholic institution we are guided by the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.  "The purpose of these Ethical and Religious Directives is then two-fold:

  • First, to reaffirm the ethical standards of behavior in health care that flow from the Church's teaching about the dignity of the human person;

  • Second, to provide authoritative guidance on certain moral issues that face Catholic health care today." (The Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services - Preamble)
